Reactive dyes contain a reactive group that chemically reacts with the silk fibers to form a covalent bond. This bond makes the dye molecules a part of the fabric, resulting in excellent color fastness.

What’s more, reactive dyeing is considered more environmentally friendly. The dyes used in this process are water-soluble and do not contain harmful chemicals or heavy metals. Additionally, the dyeing process requires less water and energy, reducing the overall environmental impact.
